Maria Brzozowska crafts ethereal, dreamlike landscapes that blur the boundaries between fantasy and reality, inviting viewers into a world of magical realism. Through her evocative visual storytelling, she reimagines familiar spaces as surreal realms where time and space dissolve, encouraging contemplation and personal discovery. Maria’s work intertwines the architectural and the fantastical, fostering a dialogue between the real and the imagined, and offering a poetic escape into the hidden, magical dimensions of existence.
Born in Poland and raised amidst the vibrant cultural mosaic of Turkey, Maria’s multicultural upbringing deeply informs her practice, weaving elements of her heritage into her art. This fusion of influences finds expression in her exploration of identity, narrative, and belonging. Her paintings, akin to visual poems, serve as portals that invite viewers to inscribe their own stories and memories onto her dreamlike canvases.
After her studies at Leeds Arts University, Maria began her creative career and now dedicates herself entirely to painting. Her career spans numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe, with her work recognized as a finalist in various art competitions.
Maria’s art seeks to rekindle a sense of wonder and imagination, portraying mystical encounters, eccentric structures, and strange characters that beckon viewers into a shared dreamscape. Through each piece, she dismantles conventional notions of time and space, creating a space where the everyday transforms into the extraordinary. Her work is an open invitation to explore the infinite stories within ourselves—where reality and dreams merge, and the boundaries between the two disappear.
